We have an annual hayrack ride in the fall that is targeted toward under-privileged children.  There is the annual spring time Easter Egg hunt targeted toward younger children and combined with the child identification program.  We conduct a contest at the middle school level to help develop public speaking abilities and at the high school level we have an essay contest which includes scholarship opportunities.  We also work with children affected by cancer.    There's more information about all of this on our site including how you can get involved.  But the bottom line for is really embodied in our organization's mission statement which says, "By providing hope and a positive vision, Optimists bring out the best in kids."  Thanks for stopping by our site.
