To continue serving the community and providing valuable programming, we need your support! There are many ways to support the Urbandale Optimist Club.
BecomE A MEMBER
Do you want to get more involved serving members of the Urbandale Community and volunteering across the Greater Des Moines metro? We would love to have you join us! Members have an opportunity to shape the course of the club, providing thoughts, guidance and feedback on projects and programs.
There is an annual membership fee of $80 per year, which can be paid quarterly or annual. These dues are used to support programming at the club and international level. We also offer incentives for new members including $30 dues for individuals 30 and under, as well as $30 dues for teachers. If you are ready to join, download an application now and email us, or contact us to learn more!
Friend of Optimists
If you would like to support the Urbandale Optimist Club, but don't have the time to become a member, we encourage you to join as a Friend of Optimists. This yearly commitment allows you to financially support our projects and be recognized as a member of Optimist International and the Urbandale Optimist Club. Contact us to learn more!
Join the Avenue of Flags
Another way to support the Urbandale Optimit Club and our projects is to sign up for our flag program. When you sign up for to be apart of our Avenue of Flags, our members will put up a flag outside your home for five patriotic holidays of the year: Memorial Day, Flag Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day and Veterans Day. Flags remain up during the holiday weekend after which our members return to pick up the flag. This is an opportunity for you and your family to support our country and the Urbandale Optimist Club.
The cost to join the program is $35 per year, with all proceeds going towards our community projects. If you are interested, fill out our Avenue of Flags form, and a member of the club will be in contact.
Donate to support Programming
We are always accepting donations to help support our programs and projects! In addition to monetary donations, we are often accepting new books, toys, clothes and other items to support our projects. If you are interested in donating money or goods, please reach out to learn about the current needs within the community.
